QuestionIn the state of Pa in 2001 I plead guilty to three charges, Theft by Unlawful Taking, criminal conspiracy, and receiving stolen property... All were Felony 3 in the state of Pa they were reduced to Misdemeanor 1... I completed my two years of probation, and checked with local law enforcement agencies on my right to own guns... I never lost them... So I moved to NH and got my guns from my parents in PA... I recently went to purchase a firearm and NICS is delayed the good news is the cops did not raid the gun shop while i was there, so it cant be to bad... I Spent Four years in the Marin Corps and an Honorable discharge and have never been in trouble with the law before or after this situation... Why would there be a delay or why would i be denied by the NICS???
AnswerAre you delayed or denied you are not clear. If you are delayed it's too early if denied you just have to appeal it. But in most states when someone has been charged with a felony rather reduced or not or if you receive full restoration of rights you must have a firearm permit to pass the NICS check..
Good Luck
