2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Felons' right to bear arms

Question
My husband and myself have been convicted of felonies.  Him, for DWI, and myself for forgery.  Both of us are off of parole and know we will never be able to have the "right to bear arms", or will we?  If so, what can we legally have to protect ourselves?  What about taser?
Neither one of us do anything wrong.  Work, eat, and sleep.  We don't drink, party or do anything illegal.  How can we protect ourselves if someone breaks into our home while we are there?  Can I get in trouble if someone other than my husband or myself live in the same house with someone who owns a gun?

Answer
I will response only to that portion of your question while involves the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, as this is the Second Amendment topic, isn't it?

As convicted felons, the only way to can restore your rights to keep and bear arms (short of obtaining pardons) is to apply for Certificates of Relief from Disabilities.

Retain an attorney familiar with the process.

I can answer questions about Handguns, Rifles, Ammunition, the Firearms Industry, the "gunzine game," practical accessories for self-defense (CCW) handguns; rumor control on firearms myths, errata on the "gunshop grapevine."

I am NOT an Attorney, and nothing I provide here should be relied upon as legal advice. Therefore, please do NOT make inquiries about Criminal Justice issues... this is the Second Amendment topic.

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
