Question
My brother in law want to hunt deer in Pa. this fall/winter. He has a felony for the state of Del. Family has told us he can not own or be in the same room where firearms are being kept such as at deer camp. We would like this family member to be able to attend deer camp to hunt but we need to know if this is possible under the way the laws a written today.

Answer
Meshell,

If he has a felony conviction he may not own or possess firearms as per Federal Law. If he is caught hunting he will be charged for possession of a firearm which is another felony. This is a Federal Law and each state also has laws. Until his felony is expunged or pardoned, he would be well advised not to be caught with a firearm.
