2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/CCW

Question
Back in 2002 i was charged with posession of marijuana. I plead no contest and now am looking to apply for my CCW in Ohio. Will this conviction (since i plead no contest i was found guilty) hinder me from obtaining my permit? And if so can i have it expunged and be able to obtain it that way?

Answer
Adam,

Thanks for asking. If you have this conviction expunged then you should be ok as far as getting your CCW. It is doubtful that you would get a CCW if you still have this drug charge on your record. I recommend that you seek legal assistance also.

Good luck,

Dan
