Question
I have a Nassau County, NY carry permit restricted to "target and range."  Can I make stops to and from range (e.g., diner, store)?

Answer
This is not a Second Amendment or Right to Keep and Bear Arms question, but I'll try to assist you. The answer to your question is not one of laws or regulations. It is one of policy adopted by the NCPD License Division. I don't recall if the latest pistol license handbook addresses this question, so that is the first place you should check.

Assuming that the policy is not set forth in the handbook, since such policies can and do change from time to time, the only way to certainly answer your question is to ask one of the licensing officers your question.
