Question
"        ok i was charged with domestic violence 1-2-06 was a big family argument with inlaws never touched wife anyway got charged did a plea agreement first time offender delayed sentence 3 months probation judge said if i complete it.i  will have no record i completed probation successfully did background check through the state police on myself nothing came up so my question is do i have to mention charge and will they have reason to deny and do i need a attorney we do not have to appear before gun board in my county i had no other problems? thanks mike"

Answer
Mike sorry about the first response. I hit the wrong key. The best way to handle this matter is to be truthful, so yes tell them about the charge and that you have no record based on completion of your probation.  If they deny your permit then get an attorney.
