Question
What are my rights on owning a shotgun while living with a felon. I have no criminal history. I was almosted raped by an illegal immigrant from next door, and my fiance works out of town. Am I allowed to own a firearm and keep it in our home?

Answer
Hi Brooke,

Yes you can own a firearm if you have a clean record. Just be sure the felon you live with does not have access to it. I am sorry to hear about your rape incident. The mere presence of a firearm may prevent crimes of that nature.

God bless,
