Dean, I am applying for CCW in Westmoreland county in PA. I tarvel around the area quite a bit and was wondering if different counties within states have different laws concerning where I can carry. I don't want to end up like Plaxico. Thanks, Scott

Scott, I don't "do" private consultations, so I'm opening this up to all. (Want "private?" Consult an attorney and pay his fee. We who serve here do so on a pro bono publico basis.)

Now to the question itself.

I don't think any of us here are actually "Experts" in this field, just reasonably knowledgeable folks with an interest in Second Amendment matters.

For a question such as yours, I'd have to use my Internet access to do some research. Here's an idea… why don't you do the same research as you have Internet access as well, because you know what counties you might travel (preferred spelling) to.

And yes, some states without a preemption law will have individual counties and other political subdivisions with more restrictive firearms regulations… which is why it is a good idea for you to perform your own research into this matter.
