Hello Dean,
I have a rather simple question please, once a individual acquires there Relief of Disabilities Certificate (without restrictions) how long will it take the NICS to update their data base, so there will be no denial when the check is ran? Thanks!
While it's not a Second Amendment question, it's an interesting one to which I don't know the answer.
I suspect that a prospective firearms purchaser would have to initiate a "Voluntary Appeal File" for NICS to access through the UPIN procedure, and go this route until the Relief of Disabilities status has flushed though the system.
Your best bet would be to contact the FBI's NICS Customer Service section at 1-877-444-6427 and obtain further information from them.
