Question
I plead guilty to assault 20 years ago. 2 years probation with no jail time. My only record. Had FID in Ma. prior to assault which was lost. I have purchased many antiques over the years many which will fire safely. Question is, can I get a replacement FID. Will I be able to join a range and fire legally with ammo aquired legally in MA. or from out of state. Also can I get my case expunged in Mass and do you know of any NRA attoneys who can help me. One mistake stupid youthful mistake 20 years ago should not follow a law abiding citizen forever.

Thanks in advance

Answer
Ed, why do you think this is an appropriate topic for your question? This has nothing to do with the Second Amendment, as its strictly a Criminal Justice issue!

Why do you think an NRA attorney would, or should, help you?

You need to contact an attorney familiar with Massachusetts criminal matters.

I can answer questions about Handguns, Rifles, Ammunition, the Firearms Industry, the "gunzine game," practical accessories for self-defense (CCW) handguns; rumor control on firearms myths, errata on the "gunshop grapevine."

I am NOT an Attorney, and nothing I provide here should be relied upon as legal advice. Therefore, please do NOT make inquiries about Criminal Justice issues... this is the Second Amendment topic.

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
