Question
Hi, I was denied a conceal weapon license because in 1988 I was convicted of a class D 3rd degree felony. caught with conceal weapon in NYC, i got 5yrs probation, and i got approve for a class D security license, but i'm trying for my class G, which requires you to get conceal weapon license. Thats why i'm trying to gather info on rights to bear arms law... do I qualify?

Answer
George,

Thanks for asking. Due to Federal Law which states that convicted felons may not own or possess firearms disqualifies you. If you want your 2nd amendment rights restored then you have to have legal assistance to file to expunge or pardon your felony.

Best regards,

Dan
