Question
I was convicted of a felony for illegal use of a telecommunication device in 2005. can i own a firearm

Thanks for asking. But felony charges by Federal Law will prevent firearm ownership. However I have never heard of illegal use of telecommunication device being a felony.
You may want to contact your lawyer to see if they can file to pardon or expunge your record.
