2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Right to bear arms restored

Question
I was convicted on 1 count poss of a schedule 2 narcotic. I basically took the conviction to just get it over with and move on. I have no criminal history prior to or since my conviction. What would my chances of getting my right to bear arms restored? I was told after 3 years if it was a non-violent offence it could happen. Is there any truth in that? Thanks

Answer
It doesn't matter WHY you took the conviction, you were CONVICTED! (Have you figured out yet why it's called "Dope?")

I don't know what state you are in, and I don't care... go see an attorney, pay his fee, and learn why you should have consulted him (or her or any attorney!) before deciding "to just get it over with and move on." (Ahhhh!, perhaps now that "why it's called 'dope'" thing is becoming clearer to you, isn't it?)

Go and offend no more forever. Stop and consult with an attorney on the way.

I can answer questions about Handguns, Rifles, Ammunition, the Firearms Industry, the "gunzine game," practical accessories for self-defense (CCW) handguns; rumor control on firearms myths, errata on the "gunshop grapevine."

I am NOT an Attorney, and nothing I provide here should be relied upon as legal advice. Therefore, please do NOT make inquiries about Criminal Justice issues... this is the Second Amendment topic.

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
