Question
hello,
My ffl got a delay notice when I went to pick up my rifle, I called the doj and they told me they are waiting for county court documents to make sure im not a felon.(im not) So I called the courthouse and they said it could take the clerk 3 months to get the paperwork out. Is there any way to prove to the DOJ im not a felon? Does this mean I have to wait 3 months? How long can they make me wait?
Thanks

Answer
?#1: Yes. Obtain a transcript of the disposition of whatever charges were brought against you. (You left out the part about your arrest and/or conviction.)

?#2: Dunno. Have you remembered the Clerk of the Court on his or her birthday?

?#3: They can deny your approval, then you can wait forever.

But Brian, how is this a Second Amendment question?
