2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Restoration of fire arms

Question
I have a domestic violence charge in FL from 1991.  I have been denied the right to purchase a fire arm in FL.  I have since relocated to GA, and wondering how to go about restoring my right to purchase a fire arm.  Also, since I'm applying for restoration at the federal level (within GA), does this restore my rights in all states or just for my state of residence?

Answer
Darryl,

Thanks for asking. In order to restore your rights you need legal help to file for a pardon or to expunge your record. Once your record is clear, then you may purchase a firearm in your state from a licensed dealer. Since you reside in Georgia, you can also purchase firearms from other states on line but they have to be transferred from the FFL dealer in the state where you bought the gun, to another FFL dealer in Georgia. As far as federal law is concerned your record would be clear.

Best regards,

Dan
