2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/illinois 410 probation

Question
I recieved Illinois 410 (1410 etc.) felony probation for a minor drug offence in the early 90's. I completed the probation period and have not been arrested for anything since. I have no other felony arrests or convictions. Does this prevent me form legaly owning firearms on the state or federal level? Does this affect out of state transport? I HAVE been issued an Illinois FOID but believe I am being denied for PA CCW. I have not had the case expunged yet. Are my firearms rights restored at completion of probation or expungment. Thank you very much. I am confident an answer on this will help many others, besides me.

Answer
Rob,

Thanks for asking. Under Federal Law drug related charges will prevent firearm ownership. Since you have completed your probation, IMHO you need to get your charge expunged or pardoned in order to get your firearm rights restored. This may require legal help.

Dan
