Question
I plead guilty to veh.manslaughter and that is the only trouble i have ever had in 47 years. I want to be able to hunt again, and will be though with my probation in a few days and I had no problems completing this. Can i get my right back to were I can hunt.I am in mississippi.I am a 1st time non violent offender. Thanks

Answer
Tony,

Thanks for asking. I do not know if Mississippi considers vehicular manslaughter a felony, but if they do, regardless of you finishing your probation, you will not be able to qualify for firearms possession or purchase.

If it is not a felony conviction then you should be able to restore your rights when you finish your probation.
