Question
i am a felon iv been out for a few years.my family and i recently moved to tennessee we live in the moutins.we have been having problems with wild animals.can my wife own a gun with out ether of us breaking the law? she has never been arrested. thank you

Answer
Wayne,

Thank you for asking. Since your wife has a clean record, she may own a gun, but if she does she has to keep it locked up and away from you. As a convicted felon, you cannot own or possess firearms.

Another option for your consideration, is to obtain a pardon, or get your record expunged, with legal help of course.
