Hi I did a Nics background check today at an Ohio gun dealer,and the gun dealer said the background check came back as delayed.The gun dealer guy said that most of the time when it comes back delayed people pass and are able to get a hand gun,either by Nics getting back to the gun dealer and saying proceed with the sale or three days go by and with no word from Nics I can go and get the gun.

I was charged with domestic violence back in 2000,however it was reduced to disorderly conduct.I have had a spotless record since,and find it would be unfair not to let me have a gun.I am a law abiding citizen.

How could I possibly know the answer to that?!? If I had such an ability, I'd be headed off to Las Vegas to put every cent I could get my hands on, on the winner of this Sunday's Super Bowl!

What a silly question.

In general, under the Lautenberg Amendment, Domestic Violence is a prohibiting offense to firearms possession, even for police officers.

I suspect that this is precisely what the NICS arm of the FBI is looking at.
