2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/The Second Amendment

Question
Hello whoever reads this.  I'm doing an ILP project which is a huge deal in my grade.  My topic is the Second Amendment and I'm for it. I'm required to get a primary source and I have come to you to be the person I interview.  Please answer these following questions in the order I've provided you.

Do you think we should be able to have guns in our homes for self protection?

Should it be a collective or individual right to bear arms?

If a burglar was robbing you and you couldn't have a gun for self protection, would you rebel against the government later on?

Do you think people that have assault weapons in their homes should get arrested or is it their right to own them?

As a U.S. Citizen would you feel more comfortable if the Second Amendment was amended?

Under the right circumstances, would you feel safer if you had a gun with you?

Please get the answer back to me ASAP.

Thanks a lot
Sincerely, Ben

>Do you think we should be able to have guns in our homes for self protection?

Yes private firearms stop 250,000 crimes in progress each years.
On going study by Dr. Gary Kleck, FSU Criminologist.

>Should it be a collective or individual right to bear arms?

The collective right was sham claim by some left wing political activist who tried to dismiss the actual right. The U S Supreme in D.C. vs Heller ruled its is an individual right.

>If a burglar was robbing you and you couldn't have a gun for self protection, would you rebel against the government later on?

There is no way to answer that question. Its pure speculation, based something that has not happened.

>Do you think people that have assault weapons in their homes should get arrested or is it their right to own them?

First there is no such thing as an assault weapons. There are assault rifles which are military rifles can have sect fire with one shot, burst fire, and full auto. The chamber for round that more powerful than a handgun but less powerful than a main battle rifle.   The things that that some call assault weapons are semi automatic rifles. No they should not be banned or have criminal penalty attached to them. Btw most people do not know you can legally own class III weapons. Machine Guns, sub machine guns etc. You have purchase a tax stamp for $200. Number of legal machine guns used in crimes since 1934; one and he was cop. Also the federal government sells M1 Grand Main Battle rifles through the cmp. These are powerful rifles being chambered for 30-06 Springfield. AR-15/M-16 is .223 Remington a rifle round used for varmint hunting. A deer rifle is far more powerful. Another thing most people is the constitution requires congress to pay for arms ammunition and training of the use of arms, to the militia. It does this through civilian marksmanship program and NRA sanctioned rifle matches. http://www.odcmp.com/

>As a U.S. Citizen would you feel more comfortable if the Second Amendment was amended?

No, it in fact there to be a check on government getting out of control. Its there protect every other right you have. I suggest you read the federalist papers. They like owners manual to constitution.

>Under the right circumstances, would you feel safer if you had a gun with you?

You are always safer if you can defend yourself. A great response time from 911 call for police is 6 to 10 minute. Way too late to help you. Plus the police do not have to protect any individual. You might want read a book called "dial 911 and die" by Richard W. Stevens, Garn Turner, Aaron S. Zelman.

Please get the answer back to me ASAP.
