Question
I live in dedham MA and seven years ago i was areested in walpole MA, for possesion of marijuana. i had to appear in wrentham district court and the case was continued without a guilty finding, and i received 6 mons. probation. my question is, will this keep me from getting a firearms license in dedham? thank you for your time and hope to hear back soon.

Answer
Michael,

Thanks for asking. There is a good chance because of it being drug related that it may keep you from obtaining a firearm license. If it does cause you to not get the permit, you can file to expunge or pardon your record. Both of these actions may require legal help.

Dan
