Question
I'm unsure of what my charges when I was a juvenile,
I've tried just about everything to get find out what they were and I was told that once a certain time has passed that they are destroyed. What should I do when filling out pistol permit in Monroe county? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide me with.

Answer
This isn't the area for "Aging Juveniles with Bad Memories," or even the Criminal Justice process! It's the Second Amendment topic!

So, where's the Second Amendment question?

I will, because I'm in a good mood, tell you this much... you know how ATF likes to preach "Don't lie for the other guy?" Well, in this type of situation, don't lie for yourself, either, because that gives the licensing authority an instant denial… and then you've got problems with ANY license for which you kight apply throughout the rest of your life.

It will require some burdensome work on your part, but you'll have to check "Yes" and then obtain a certificate of disposition from any Court in which you appeared under criminal information.

Don't lie! 'Fess up and do the time-consuming work to straighten things out now, or suffer the consequence for the rest of your life! (Want to get a pilot's license someday, or an insurance broker's license? The form will ask you if you've ever been denied a license for any reason?

You: Um yes. A handgun license.

Them: Why?

You: 'Cause I lied on the application.

What do you think your chances are then?

DON'T LIE!

I am NOT an Attorney, and nothing I provide here should be relied upon as legal advice. Therefore, please do NOT make inquiries about Criminal Justice issues... this is the Second Amendment topic.

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
