I recently heard that I must have my weapons & Ammo in two deferent locked containers and that if I should have a loaded gun in my home for home protection then I am in violation of California Gun Laws for having a loaded Gun in my home and in violation of not having my gun and ammo in two deferent locked containers.  Is this true and is there any exceptions?  And what is the Code that covers this law?

This law, if true, tells me that we are no longer allowed to defend our self in our own homes.

Excuse the delay in responding... have been out-of-the-Country.

For California gun control laws... some of the wackiest (not just stringent, but bull moose wacky!) in the country... you should refer to the state capitol, Sacramento. From 3,000 miles away, I would not presume to interpret them for you, nor should you venture onto the Internet and trust to anyone for authoritative information on this matter. We're talking about your liberty, and perhaps even your life!

As for "no longer being allowed to defend yourself in your own home," if your understanding of the situation is correct, then you now know how the residents of Washington D.C. have felt for the past 31 years! It's why the recent "Parker" decision, if permitted to stand, is such a critical one to not only them, but all of us.
