Question
In Spetember of 2004, I plead no contest to 1 count of felony burglary and 1 count of possession of a burglary tool. I recieved 18 months probation, which is complete. I moved to Harrisburg Pa in May 2007. I want to purchase a rifle for hunting purposes only. What must i do? Can I own a rifle? A handgun? A crossbow? Can you help me?

Thank You Travis

Answer
You will have to get Clemency or restoration of rights in the State of Pa. before you can think of owning any firearm.  Enough time may not have past since your release from probation but you can go to your local court house and file for a restoration of rights in Pa. because you live there now.  They usually ask for 3-10 years since your release from supervision.  Good luck.
