Question
My dad purchased a Karabiner Model L 30.  It takes a 9mm rimfire cartrige that no one around here has heard of.  All I know is that the gun is European and was made by the same company that made the 98k of WW2 fame.  Do you know anything about the Model L 30?

Wow, Michael... this one's w-a-a-a-y beyond my area of knowledge. I have no recollection of a "9mm rimfire," either.

If the rest of your information is accurate, then you are doubtless talking about a rifle of Mauser manufacture, but be advised that the Model 98 k (for "kurz," or "short") was famous well before the Second World War.
