Good Day Mr. Dean Speir!!!

   Hi, I have a lot of questions regarding my guns. Let me start from my glock. Sir is it true that there is a rare incident regarding ka booms on a Glock 19? because my pistol is a Glock 19, by the way how many documented incident did the kb happened to the Glock 19. as far as its durability regarding kabooms what are some disadvantages and advantages of the pistol . My purpose for this pistol is for carry purposes hope you could give me a clear view of it. Of all Glock models which model most of the people prefer according to rank, so that I will know if  I made the right choice… this is also why I  choosed Glock from othe related polymeyer brands it is the most affordable and convenient to carry.
     Let me now ask about my STI.40 long dust cover with schuemann bull barrel. The question is how could  I determine if the STI ,  I owned  is genuine in spite the fact that there are a lot of  people who copies guns including their trade name and logo making it appear like the original one. Now a days including the Rockwell hardness the imitators can also follow.
       Hope you could help me in this little inquiry. Thank you Sir.


P.S. By the way I am from Dumaguete City Philippines….there are a lot of imitators of  guns here.. …

Hello, Michael...

I cannot discuss your STI pistol as I am not experienced enough with that particular maker.

While it is true that I've now documented two separate kB! events with Glocks chambered in 9 X 19mm, I still have figured out how a parabellum case can contain enough of an over-charge to cause this fortunately rare phenomenon.
