Question
I am a convicted federal felon and am in the process of requesting that my right to vote be restored.  I also would like to have my right to bear arms restored; however, the address given to me when I was released from probation appears to be defunct.  I sent a letter requesting the needed documentation to the following address and it was returned:
    Assistant Director - Criminal Enforcment
    Bureau of ATF
    Dept. of Treasury
    P.O.Box 784, Ben Franklin Station
    Washington D.C, 20044

Do you have the correct address?  What is the process that I must go through in order to get my rights restored?

Thanks.

Answer
You are going about it the correct way you must submit your request to the ATF in order to have your rights restored.   You may want to check online for the correct address because the feds have changed some of their main offices to West Virginia I don't have that address as of now but you may want to call them and ask for the correct address.   411 can direct you to their number.  It is now BATFE  the E is for explosives.
