2nd Amendment and Right to Bear Arms/Virginia Tech and "Parker" decision

Question
Do you think the recent campus shooting rampage will bear on whether the U.S. Supreme Court will agree to hear the District of Columbia's appeal of the "Parker..." decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit?

Answer
My compliments on the timeliness and thoughtfulness of your question, Frank.

While the mainstream media is happily wallowing in the shocking events on the Virginia Tech campus and examining every aspect of Cho Seung-Hui's actions, what happened there should have nothing to do with any decisions currently before the U.S. Court of Appeals… which is where the "Parker" case remains while the District of Columbia petitions for that Court to re-examine the case en bloc, or with all the sitting Judges making a decision. (It was originally decided by a three Judge panel.)

That has to be decided in a certain manner before it can be handed up to the Supreme Court… and we're confident that if it goes that far in the next year or so, that the nine Justices will be able to render their decision based on the Law of the Land and the intent of the framers of the Constitution, and not let the emotionalism of the news media carry any weight.

Good question, sir!

Nor do I do "Private Consultations." Want to made it "private," retain an attorney.
