Question
i was convicted of several felonies and was sentenced in kansas in 1998. i've been off parole since 2000.  what do i need to do to restore my right to bear arms

Answer
If the State of Kansas will restore your rights for all felonies then you will be cleared to bear arms.  You will then have to apply and receive a Firearm Permit which may be the problem.  With a felony conviction you can only carry with a permit or expungement of all felonies.  Restoration of rights and pardon will not be good enough unless you receive a Firearm Permit.  Try searching Kansas Executive Clemency or Restoration of Rights.  Good Luck.
