Question Hi I am trying to find out the process of reinstating my firearm rights I am In WA. and my conviction 2 in WA. one in or. and when i reinstate my fire arm right do i have to go to or. and get my rights reinstated as well I am wanting to the join the army and the recruiter told me i need to get my rights reinstated before they can take me and the courts wont talk to me and what is the process, papers, links etc... to take care of this?
Answer The process in most states are done through the Dpet. of Parole and Probation. Do a search for WA restoration of rights or Executive Clemency. You must have restoration of rights before Firearm restoration. Most restoration of rights restore your firearm rights unless it specifically states you are not to own, purchase or possess any firearms.
Good Luck
