I was convicted of A non-violent felony in the state of Tennessee , The crime had nothing to do with any guns being used . This happened over ten years ago . How many years after the conviction of A felony in Tennessee before you can buy A gun and vote ?

One thing you must understand, gun rights and voting rights are two seperate cases. Voting rights are up to each state local laws, On the other hand firearm restoration has to comply within the limits of Federal laws. Federal law states if you have restoration of rights in the state where you was convicted and it does not state you CAN'T use, possess, purchase or transport firearms then your firearm rights are restored. First you would have to apply for restoration of firearm rights in your state in order to be able legally to carry a handgun. It does not matter if your felony was non violent and 25 years ago. The paperwork says have you ever been convicted of a felony?
