Subject: felons owning guns

Question
I am a convicted felon, in the state of Indiana. My felony was DUI. Not a violent crime. It was over six years ago. Is there a time I can expect to be able to own a gun, or can I hire an attorney to get my rights reinstated, without overturning the felony conviction?

Answer
You can apply for Restoration of Rights in the State of Indiana.  In most States the Dept. of Parole handles Restoration of Rights or they may have an Executive Clemency Board.  You don't need a Lawyer for this process your life style after your conviction is how you get approved for this certificate in most cases.

GOOD LUCK
