Subject: restoration of rights

Question
I have a misdemeanor possesion of marijuana charge on my record.  It doesn't disqualify me from owning a handgun in PA but disqualifies me from a CCW permit.  Would a restoration of rights then qualify me for a CCW permit?  If so, how do I go about it?

Answer
YES, RESTORATION OF RIGHTS WILL QUALIFY YOU.  YOU MUST GET IN TOUCH WITH WHATEVER AGENCY DOES RESTORATION OF RIGHTS AND COMPLETE THE APPLICATION AND WAIT FOR THEIR DECISION.  YOU CAN SOMETIMES GET THE APPLICATION ONLINE.  TRY TYPING IN A SEARCH FOR PA RESTORATION OF RIGHTS AND SEE WHAT POPS UP.

GOOD LUCK
