Question When you say concealed, I can probably assume you don't mean that I can go walking the streets of NY with a gun in my bag and if some police officer sees it, he won't arrest me.
That would be kind of stupid on their part[how would they know what the person is up to]!

Question -
HI,
In reality, the 2nd amendment isn't usable anymore. Wouldn't someone get arrested or possibly killed by police if they carried a gun in the street?
Answer -
No, because almost all state allow for the concealed carry of handguns. Also all states allow for the transportation of long guns. So no, having a gun in most cases will not end in the person arrested. Remember the 2nd amendment is one of your civil rights, in the bill of rights.
Answer You may want read the book "More Guns Less Crime"
by Dr John Lott. (formally Univ of Chicago & Yale University) It an overview of concealed carry laws
and is the only study of the entire nation county by county.
You may also want to look into the work of Dr. Gary Kleck of Florida State University. http://www.criminology.fsu.edu/p/faculty-gary-kleck.php
He document the 200,000 times a year on average
crimes in progress are interviened on by armed citizens. 99% without shots being fired.
(As long as you have a permit you will not get arrested.
They might stop you but as long as you have a permit its pefectly legal.
To get a permit you need to be over 21 and have no arrest or mental health issues.)
