Subject: 311 & Sublime
Question
My question is have 311 and sublime ever played together. I started to wonder this when i first saw a flyer lookin thing inside the cover of the sublime album "stand by your van" that said 311 concert or sumthin along those lines.... well i got a couple of songs on napster that seem to make it true:
#1 a song called legalize, supposedly by 311 & sublime but i only hear sublime
#2 a cover 311 did for the sublime song "what i got". at first u might not think its 311 but in the middle of the song they start singin "all mixed up"
Im a little confused and could use your expert advice thanx.

i know 311 has done some shows with sublime, but they have never done a song with them. you cant always believe that kinda stuff on napster, anyone can slap any name onto a mp3 and make you believe its whoever. as for 311 covering them, to my knowledge they havent, probally the same exact napster deal i just mentioned.
just a little trivia, apparently there was a little rivalry between the 2 bands a few years back. i read in guitar world magazine i believe about how they did a show together and how sublime thought it was lame 311 had this huge ass bus and used samples on stage, so they erased their sampler. after bradley's death i remember hearing nick talk about how they liked the band and were sad for his death so i doubt there are any bad feelings if there ever were any.
