About Kelly Walter
Expertise
I can answer almost any question about 311 that someone would have, unless it is about the band`s personal life, as I do not know them personally. I can answer questions about songs, their website, albums, tours, etc. I WILL NO LONGER ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT RARE MERCHANDISE. People keep asking me about it and when I don't have a place for them to buy the merch from, they get upset with me. I am human, I cannot make the rare merch magically appear, that's why it's rare. IF YOU ARE TRYING TO FIND RARE MERCH, keep looking on Ebay and other auction websites. If you ask me questions about merch, I will not answer them (unless for some reason I know of somewhere that you don't).

Experience
I have been a fan for 11 years and have seen 27 shows in 9 different states. I am a member on their bulletin board and receive updates very often on what the band is doing.

Question
do you know the song SA samples for the intro of omaha stylee, its driving me nuts!!! "wake the town and tell the people!!!!" ive been looking for days and getting nothing so anything is helpful

Answer
i'll have to look into this, to be honest.  it's not listed anywhere on the cd booklet and its not online anywhere.

I know that "wake the town and tell the people" is a common phrase used in dancehall, but i do not know what specific song the specific sample came from.  i will post a follow up as soon as i find out for you.

i know that there is a song called "you don't love me" by dawn penn that it may have been sampled from.  you may want to check any other version of that song too.  many people have covered it.  it's difficult to say with reggae, because so many people sample and borrow from eachother.

12/12 - it has been confirmed with 311 management that the beginning was mixed by 311, but the song that you can hear that is sampled is in fact the one by dawn penn.  let me know if you need anything else.
