Question
I am a bit lost, but whenever I render shapes it renders the solid color, but when I apply a map, it makes the render black and white. Is there a way to change this, or am I doing it all wrong?

Answer
Dear Aston,

Thanks for your question & please excuse my delayed reply. Actually my computer was not okay & consecutevely I was not able to access the internet.

There could be two possible reasons:
1.  You've not mapped that image correctly. To check it, see if you could see in the perspective or in user viewport.

2.  There's not enough light on view, you are rendering. To correct it, you can plant an Omni Light in the viewport.

Best Wishes,
Harsh Sharma.
