Expert: Harsh Sharma Date: 12/29/2004 Subject: How to make scrolling text on 3ds max
Question Hi Harsh Sharma,
I have some basic (maybe up to intermediade) knowledge on 3DS max. You know the scrolling texts we see on TV, at the bottom of the screen, the flash news line... Well, a friend of mine asked me to make a scrolling texts for his TV channel and he said that they can be done on 3DS Max, but i do not know how, or if it really can be done on 3DS Max.
Do you know if 3DS MAX has a feature like this, or any other programs that might work?
Thanks in advance...
Bob
Answer Dear Bob,
Thanks for your question. The scrolling effect can be created in 3D-Max by using one of its plug-in (called numbering). This plug-in has a lots-of options to scroll the text upwards, downwards, towards left, right etc. with speed of the text, number of frames to be covered. But frequently for such effects we prefer to use "Animator Pro" or some Multimedia Authoring Tool.
Please let me know if you require any further help.
