Hello, I have a 1994 Ford Explorer w/ 4wd but my problem is that the 4wd does not work.  When I press the automatic 4wd button on the dash the light comes on indicating that 4wd is working, but when I drive I only have 2wd.  I was just wondering where you think the problem could possibly be and how could I fix this myself.  Thanks

Joe, since the light comes on , I would say that the transfercase is angauging , look and see if the front drive shaft turns with the 4x4 switch on . If so it is more than likely in your auto locking hubs, which you can buy a kit on line to fix those. Thanks, Adam
