2003 4 runner electronic rear lift gate will not open can hear electronics in gate working but lift tailgate will not open with or without key. stuck closed any suggestions

Nick, that can be kind of a headache, you will have to try to get the inside rear panel off and get the hatch open before you can see what is wrong. Than you can try to get it fixed alot of times you can just lubricate it real good, as the latch may be just sticking . thanks Adam
