50s Music/Who sang

One of the UK hits of the early 50's was song titled 'Confidentially'  which was the signature song of a comedian named Reg Dixon - recorded in 1949.  Maybe that one?

More than one artist recorded "Confidential", including Charles Brown.  50's music is essentially R&B based with strong Rockabilly influences as well as swing and other forms of jazz.  Pop music slowly disappeared after 53-54 and has little effect after that.  If you don't know this music, don't claim expertise.

I am mainly interested in traditional pop music of the late 1940s and early 1950s.

I've searched a lot of data for Wikipedia articles on this kind of music. (check User:BRG contributions to see what I've posted.)

My educational credentials aren't in the field of music - I have a Ph. D. in chemistry.
