50s Music/Doo Wop Song

Question
Hi, Bruce.  I've been trying to find who sang a song that I remember from hearing in the early 70's on the Don K Reed show. It's called M&M, and starts out with "She's as sweet as candy, she's my sugar dandy, OH, M&M, there's only one M&M, she makes the other girls wish their names were M&M." The time period would be late 50s or early 60's.  Cannot locate it among other Doo Wop songs all these years.  Please help!   Thanks.

Answer
I never heard of this song, but when I did a search based on the lyrics, I found a song called "My Boy Lollipop" (or "My Girl Lollipop") with almost that lyric: "You're as sweet as candy, you're my sugar dandy." The singer was Millie Small, and it charted in 1964 -- a bit later than my era of the '50s. (Other versions show up, but Millie Small had the charting version.)

I hope that helps.
