Question
I am looking for a 1950's instrumental titled either "4:20 am" or "3:20 am".  Someone suggested it may have been played by Dick Hyman

Answer
Wow, that was a hard one, but one I was happier to look up than some other recent questions that were mainly into R&B and doo-wop. But I think I found your song. It wasn't Dick Hyman, but David Rose -- on a MGM album (as it was, the same label that Dick Hyman recorded for, and Dick Hyman recorded an album that was only one number lower!) "David Rose Plays David Rose" MGM album catalog number E-3748 in mono, SE-3748 in stereo, from 1959, was a song called "4:20 A.M.". The song is now available on an album called "The Very Best of David Rose" (see http://www.amazon.com/Very-Best-David-Rose/dp/B001ANVCNA ). Hope this helps.
