Question
My 85 year old mum is trying to remember a song and artist,the words she remembers are : you're still the only girl in the world the one and only girl for me.

Thanks in anticipation

Answer
Well, it's not a song I remember personally, but I did a search on the Web and found it:

YOU'RE STILL THE ONLY GIRL IN THE WORLD
Gates & Leonard

Artists: Bob Dale w. Oscar Rabin & his Band    rec. 1949
also-
Issy Bonn '49

You're still the only girl in the world,
The one and only girl for me;
Though times go by, I'm happy to say,
I still adore you in the same old way!

My love for you will ever be true,
Not just a memory;
You're still the only girl in the world,
The one and only girl for me!

My love for you will ever be true,
Not just a memory;
You're still the only girl in the world,
The one and only girl for me!

This has to be the one, so I hope it answers your question!
