About Randy Expertise I can answer general Top 40 and mainstream rock questions. I'm not as strong on the really obscure stuff or Europe-centric stuff.
Experience I was a DJ in the 80's, both on and off the radio. My expertise is Top 40, but I also enjoy metal and new wave from the era.
Question I know some of the lyrics - but I can't remember who sings the song from the early 80's - it goes like this - Such a Tiny Thing you've got the world on your shoulders - working and loving you struggle every day - you've worries of your own but you listen to mine - you're my freind you keep me going, you make me see where I've gone wrong, you make me laugh when things just don't seem funny. I would love to find out who sings this and get a copy of the disk...unfortunately my brain can't remember that far back - thanks for your help!!!
Answer Hi Lauri,
I am not personally familiar with this song, but a bit of research turned up "Tiny Thing" by the group Jenson Interceptor from 1980. I just checked ebay and see a vinyl copy of the album for sale. I'm not sure if it ever made it to CD.
I'm including the lyrics below.
Hope that helps!
Randy
--------------------
Such a tiny thing you've got
The world on your shoulders
Working and loving, you struggle everyday
You've worries of your own
But you listen to mine
You're my friend you keep me going
I'll be going if you turn the other way
(chorus)
You're my friend you keep me going
You make me see where I went wrong
You make me laugh when things just don't seem funny
Things aren't funny anymore
