80s Music - song title

Expert: Bong Santos - 3/26/2008

Question
i was just wondering if you happen to know this 80's song with a line that goes, " ooh la lovely day, time for holiday.." 'twas a pop song & the singer was a girl. if i'm not mistaken, it was even used by negosyete (a television show of gma 7 which featured livelihood programs) as their background tune, that was with out the lyrics though. only the rythm. Hope you can help get the title of this track & its artist name as well.

Answer
Dear Les,

Looking through my songbooks for the year 1986-87, I found out that you were looking for the song O LA LA by FINZY KONTINI, the same Italo disco group who gave us CHA CHA CHA. It was off their 1986 album called CHA CHA CHA. Here's how it goes:

O LA LA / FINZY KONTINI

Good evening
Why don't you dance?

Strolling down at Bulink
(I got music in my mind / Oh, they notice in a glance)
An int'resting beat is (taking over all mankind / making
everybody dance)
Keeps on repeating and (burnin' / drivin') in my head
And I believe in all messages I read.

Maybe the solution's everytime I hit the floor
How can I refuse temptation knockin' at my door?
Driving me crazy, I'm ready to explode
Becoming lazy, my body needs reload.

Chorus:
O la la, they say
Time for a holiday
O la la tonight
You're my appetite.
(Instrumental)
(Repeat 1st stanza)
(Repeat Chorus)
(Instrumental)
(Bo de bo, um um...)
(O la la...)
(I like it so).
(Repeat 1st stanza)
(Repeat Chorus to fade)

Maraming salamat po!
