Expertise
Before asking a question, try searching the word "lyrics," along with any lyrics you remember, at www.Google.com. Most answers are quickly found this way. You should also try www.allmusic.com. You can also search by song title at amazon.com and www.spun.com.

I have been ardently collecting music of all genres (except classical and heavy metal) for the past 25 years, in both vinyl and CD formats. I have a detailed knowledge of landmark UK indie labels such as Factory, 4AD, Disques du Crepuscule, etc. (and their respective releases by such bands as Joy Division, The Fall, and The Wolfgang Press), as well as pop acts such as Prince, The Police, and the Rolling Stones. Also a fan of early '80s synth-based acts such as Gary Numan, OMD, The Human League, etc. Also happy to help with acts such as Seefeel, Cabaret Voltaire, Coil, Kraftwerk, Mouse on Mars, Brian Eno, Echo and the Bunnymen, Siouxsie/The Creatures, Wire, Talking Heads, The Specials, Public Image Ltd., English Beat, XTC, Roxy Music, The Gang of Four, Japan/David Sylvian, Grace Jones, Devo, Thomas Dolby, New Order, The Damned, Dead Can Dance, Eurythmics, Big Audio Dynamite, The Cramps, Catherine Wheel, David Bowie, The Monochrome Set, etc.

Experience
Indie record store employee from 1981 to 1985, where I was in charge of import (UK) records and new wave. 15 years as the music editor of a fortnightly magazine in Birmingham, Alabama, 7 of those years also spent as Editor in Chief. I also have an extensive memorabilia collection that includes complete runs of most British music magazines published in the first half of the 1980s as well as various other well known music mags such as Mojo.

Publications
Black & White, Birmingham, AL. www.bwcitypaper.com

Education/Credentials
The money I've spent on music over the years could have paid for a post-graduate degree.

Subject: a song that plagues me

Question
Hi. I've probably had this song in my head ever since I was a kid back in the 80s, but I don't know how it goes. The only thing I have in me are images of the music video that, for some reason, creeped me out when I was a kid. I know that everyone in the video was dressed like it was medieval times or Renaissance, something like that, and one big clue I can give is that, I'm about 99% sure that you never see the band or singer actually singing the song, if that makes any sense. Another thing I remember is that toward the end of the video, some people started running and hiding from others that were in the video. I apologize if this is too vague, but like I said, 20 years of just images in my head, and I'd be able to tell the song only if I heard it again. If you can tell me what this song is, or even narrow it down, I give you SOO much credit for your knowledge. Thank you.

Answer
It's not XTC's "Wonderland" from 1983, is it?

There are probably better sounding versions of the song on youtube if you search for them.

Was it a male or female singer, dancey or rockish, hard or soft, etc.?
