Question This song is obviously about Elvis Presley. What exactly does "black velvet" refer to?
Thanks for your help.
Answer Black velvet is intended to discribe Elvis Presley from his earliest of years throughout his career. It is a reference to the smooth and beautiful presence that Elvis commanded, and that almost everyone could see and more importantly feel. Soft, warm and flowing.
Even Elvis' worst critics would agree on one thing...he had an undeniable magnatism that made woman of all ages love & adore him and alot of men imitate and idolize him. He was destined for immortality from the age of 5 and he is still very much alive in the heart of millions. Quite simply put: Elvis is the very definition of Black velvet.
If I have helped in any way, please leave me positive ratings feedback.
