Question I have been looking for this 1 the last week, and I can't find it.It's probably a very easy 1 for you.
The song is about a woman who has a long distance phone call with her lover/husband, who is stationed on the moon or some other planet. only lyric I remember is: "hello darling ,I really miss you" and "fly across the moon" in the chorus. Then there the operator trying to keep the connection up, but it keeps disconnecting. I remember a woman singing this.

I am happy to answer this one as it is one of my favorite songs and I didn't think anyone else had ever heard it! The song is called "Clouds Across The Moon" by the group RAH Band. A quick Google search will yield the lyrics for you to check out. It looks like they even have the video on YouTube.
