Question
Kuya Bong,

Hi once again. I heard one very pop 60-70'sh version of the song, "I'll
Remember You" in mellow touch station, It was originally sang by Elvis P.
But this version that they played sa radio sounds a lot Cliff Richard, and a
little faster than the way elvis sang it.
Do u have any idea kung sinong male singer sang that version?

thanks,
Paul

Answer
Dear Paul,

I'LL REMEMBER YOU is a song written by the late Hawaiian songwriter KUI LEE. He also wrote among others TINY BUBBLES & LAHAINALUNA. The song was originally recorded by him in 1964 and was covered by ELVIS PRESLEY in 1966. It was also recorded by popular Hawaiian balladeer DAN HO. Through the years, it has also been covered by TONY BENNETT, ANDY WILLIAMS, ROGER WILLIAMS & HERB ALPERT & HIS TIJUANA BAND. I'm not sure who sang the version that we keep on hearing in the 70's but I believe its either ROGER WILLIAMS or ANDY WILLIAMS.

Maraming salamat po!!

Expertise

I can answer just about everything from the 80`s, rock, pop, trivias, artist infos, Billboard chart positions, albums, etc. But songs that became hit in the Philippines and OPM songs are my expertise. I grew on 80`s music and still listening to 80`s music as it is the best era in music history for me. My friends call me the walking encyclopedia of 80`s music. I got books & collections of CDs, all from the 80`s.

Let's just say music is my life and my source is a lifetime of knowledge about 80's music and then some.
